Cynthia Loven

Licensed Therapist, LAC
Scottsdale

Cynthia is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) with a strong foundation in Applied Behavioral Analysis, having previously worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She’s passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges, reconnect with themselves, and build lives rooted in authenticity and purpose.

With a warm, person-centered approach, Cynthia partners with clients to explore the experiences, emotions, and patterns that shape their lives—creating space for healing, clarity, and lasting change.

She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across outpatient, residential, and behavioral health settings. Her clinical focus includes supporting individuals facing trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional dysregulation. Cynthia’s work is grounded in trauma-informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Known for her creative energy, Cynthia brings a fresh, engaging style to therapy—using interactive activities, worksheets, and playful metaphors to make sessions meaningful and uniquely tailored. She believes therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or intimidating; it can be exploratory, collaborative, and even enjoyable while still fostering deep, transformative growth.

Outside of the therapy room, Cynthia finds inspiration through travel and exploring new cultures—experiences that fuel her curiosity and inform her perspective. She's also a proud dog mom to Bronco, her loyal four-legged best friend whose joyful energy keeps her grounded and creatively recharged.
