Dorothy Kerin

Licensed Therapist, LAC, NCC
Tucson

Dorothy Kerin is a therapist dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults build resilience, develop emotional awareness, and navigate life’s challenges with greater balance and self-compassion.

Dorothy specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based approaches to support clients experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, depression, stress, and relationship challenges. Whether she is working with a child learning to manage big emotions or an adult navigating life transitions, her goal is always to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur.

In her work with children and adolescents, Dorothy focuses on helping them understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and improve communication at home and school. For adults, she offers practical tools grounded in DBT and mindfulness to reduce emotional suffering while increasing presence, acceptance, and self-awareness.

Dorothy believes therapy does not have to feel overwhelming or overly clinical. Her approach is collaborative, warm, and practical, tailored to meet each client where they are. Together, clients work to build skills, gain insight, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Clients are not alone in this process—Dorothy is committed to walking alongside them as they take the next step forward.
